Beautifully Unique Metallic Pink Charleston Elopement

Alex and Chris escaped to Charleston for an intimate elopement designed by Pure Luxe Bride on a gorgeous fall day. Their ceremony was preceded by a fun newlywed portraits at multiple locations in Downtown Charleston. We met at Zero George and immediately knew it was going to be such a fun and beautiful day! Alex wore a shimmering mauve pink gown that came alive in the Charleston sunshine.

That dress is everything. I wanted non-traditional, something pink or floral. I found this dress online, it’s by Alexandra Grecco, and I ordered it immediately. I actually gasped when I opened the garment bag and saw it for the first time. The material is so stunning in person. I like unique. I like that it’s unexpected and fun. I knew the metallic would dance in the sun and at golden hour, giving our photos some sparkle and whimsy.

Their flowers shone with hints of pink mixed with yellow and pale orange hues. After spending some time on Chalmers Street, we made our way to Wingate Place for their intimate ceremony and some cake! Petaloso ‘s towers of flowers as the wedding ceremony installation could not have been more perfect! Alex and Chris’ ceremony took place between the flowers under the shade of a mossed-live oak branch. They celebrated tying the knot with a stunning cake by Flowerchild and enjoyed some champagne on an outdoor swing.

From the session on Chalmers to Wingate place, the day was too fun to pick just one. I especially enjoyed meeting all of the vendors. Everyone brought such enthusiasm and joy, not only for us but for what they do, that it felt like being around old friends, which made the elopement feel so special.

To end our time together, we had them do some dancing in the sunset and run through the yard barefoot. These two were SO much fun to photograph and celebrate!
