Haley and Zach hired us to photograph their wedding, and we were so excited that they did! Haley is a wedding videographer, so we knew that there would be tons of gorgeous details throughout the day. You can catch their sailboat engagement session and Haley’s Bridal session at Legare on our blog! It was a wedding filled weekend. They hired us to cover the rehearsal dinner and wedding, so we got to spend a couple days with them and their sweet families. We love it when our couples hire us for a rehearsal dinner. It’s always so much fun getting to know everyone a little bit better before the big day! For their rehearsal dinner, they rented an awesome beachfront Folly Beach home with tons of palm trees in the back yard, and a large grassed area, a perfect spot for dinner. We had blast, but that’s for another blog post! This one is all about their big day!

Haley and Zach’s wedding day started at Folly Beach, where we shot detail photos, including Haley’s adorable gift of an engraved compass to her sailor, soon-to-be-husband. Since they were getting ready next door to each other, we were able to included Zach’s Brackish Bow Tie. We are so happy with how their detail shots turned out! Pro tip: get ready at the same location so we can include fun details for both of you in the flat lay images!
Haley decided to do first looks with her dad, bridesmaids, and Zach. We picked different spots for each of them, and they were so fun! The bridesmaids had the most joyful reaction, her dad’s reaction was tear filled and Zach’s reaction was of course so cute, especially since they both got each other the SAME wedding day card! Their ceremony and reception was held at a waterfront private residence on John’s Island.

The ceremony arbor was filled with heavy greenery and white & blue flowers. Haley and Zach’s custom wedding vows were so perfect! There was not a dry eye in the crowd. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of the year for this beautiful couple! One southern tradition that is said to help with having sunshine on your wedding day is “burying the bourbon”. One month before your date, bury a bottle of bourbon at your venue. Then, after your ceremony you get to dig it up and have a drink! Speaking of drinks, Haley’s dad made the most beautiful bars for their reception. Not to mention, The Bill Wilson Band & Kanika Moore absoutely killed the live music scene. One of Haley’s bridesmaids got up and sang with Bill for a song and surprised the couple with it! Needless to say, they were thrilled!

Tim & I had the best time and we were working so we can only imagine how much fun all the guests had! Oh wait, we have the photos to prove it 😉
